Job Description:

  • Develop and Implement Enterprise-Wide Security Strategy: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and minimize information-related loss by developing and implementing an enterprise-wide security strategy.
  • Liaise with Clients: Liaise with clients on information security matters, including audits and RFPs, and provide guidance on security policies and practices.
  • Lead Risk Assessments: Lead risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of client data.
  • Manage Organizational Risk: Manage organizational risk by implementing layered technical defenses and monitoring security incidents to prevent unauthorized access or malicious activities.
  • Ensure Staff Confidentiality: Ensure staff members maintain confidentiality and adhere to security policies, protecting sensitive information from unauthorized disclosure.
  • Direct IS Staff: Direct and manage IS staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and personnel actions, ensuring that all personnel are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Management, or related field required.
  • Minimum Experience: Minimum 10 years' experience managing information security in a large, complex environment.
  • Communication Skills: Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Security Knowledge: Deep knowledge of security issues, techniques, and implications across various platforms, enabling effective decision-making and incident response.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.

Location: New York City, NY, USA (or remote).
