Position Summary

In your role as the Director of Custodial Services, you will oversee the cleanliness, sanitation, and security of designated facilities within a K-12 educational setting. You will coordinate the activities of janitorial staff in line with company standards to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate all janitorial operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and operational excellence.
  • Provide mentorship and supervision to team leaders and staff, promoting professional development and adherence to company policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections, promptly addressing any concerns and implementing corrective measures to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Manage equipment maintenance and inventory of cleaning supplies to ensure smooth operations and timely task completion.
  • Act as a communication bridge between building occupants and janitorial personnel, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and organizational objectives.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks to the highest standards, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Facilitate cross-training and development of staff for various roles, enhancing team versatility and efficiency.
  • Monitor budgetary considerations, demonstrating fiscal responsibility and contributing to cost-effective operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Preferred college degree, though not mandatory.
  • One to two years of supervisory experience in housekeeping or a service-oriented field with significant customer interaction.
  • Strong work ethic, drive for quality, and commitment to customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities in both individual and group settings.
  • Ability to engage and inspire team members.
  • Understanding of budgeting processes and profit and loss awareness.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience with heavy cleaning equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, ensuring safe operation of company vehicles.
