Job Summary

This is an Operations position responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and upkeep of equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fuel and inspect all delivery equipment daily to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular checks on fluid levels and tire pressure to prevent equipment failure.
  • Assist the fleet shop as needed to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with night warehouse management to prepare equipment for use.
  • Perform trailer washing duties as scheduled to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure the parking lot remains clean and free of debris.
  • Support night truck spotters in organizing the truck yard for efficient operations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 months of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Basic math skills and ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Ability to learn and operate tractor-trailers and straight trucks.

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
