About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterile Processing Department Supervisor to join our team at Nemours Children's Health. As a key member of our Perioperative Services department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our sterile processing and decontamination areas are operating at the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs for SPD associates to ensure they are properly trained and competent in all aspects of sterile processing and decontamination.
  • Collaborate with Perioperative Services leadership to identify learning needs and develop training plans to ensure annual training and new associate orientation.
  • Assess and maintain associate competencies with regard to instrumentation, endoscopes, and probe reprocessing functions throughout the Delaware Valley.
  • Monitor and maintain all sterilization records in accordance with current regulatory standards.
  • Complete weekly audits of sterilization and decontamination processes and provide monthly reports.
  • Collaborate with SPD Manager to standardize and maintain SPD supplies throughout the Delaware Valley.
Requirements
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required.
  • Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) required.
  • Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon hire and must be maintained for the duration of employment.
