About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Nemours Children's Health. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, decontaminate, prepare, and package medical/surgical supplies and equipment according to established protocols.
  • Distribute medical and surgical supplies from sterile processing areas to other areas within the facility as needed.
  • Adhere to standard precautions, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Monitor, interpret, and document results of physical, chemical, and biological indicators for all types of sterilizers used in the sterile processing areas.
  • Prepare and distribute surgical case carts according to physician's preference lists and anticipated needs of the perioperative team.
  • Inventory management, including receiving and restocking materials used for supporting sterile processing services in collaboration with the Materials Management Department.
Qualifications
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required.
  • American Heart Association BLS within six months.
