Sterile Processing Department Educator

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Department Educator to join our team. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our associates are properly trained and operating within the guidelines set forth by industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement training programs for Sterile Processing Department associates to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular training sessions and assessments to ensure associates are proficient in instrumentation, endoscope, and probe reprocessing functions.
- Collaborate with the Sterile Processing Department Manager and Lead Technicians to communicate training progress and ensure compliance with organizational and governing guidelines.
- Utilize evidence-based research to facilitate training and professional development for Sterile Processing Department associates.
- Develop and maintain a schedule for continuing education and training for each Sterile Processing Department site.
- Conduct audits of Sterile Processing Department associate training records to ensure compliance with organizational and governing guidelines.
- Promote quality assurance and performance improvement related to Sterile Processing Department associates' technical skills.
- Associate's degree required.
- Required certifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS), Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER), and Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL).
- Three or more years of experience in a Sterile Processing Department or related field.
