Technician - In - Training Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technician - In - Training to join our team at Liberty. As a Technician - In - Training, you will be responsible for learning and developing the skills necessary to become a qualified utility operations technician.
Key Responsibilities- Perform reads of residential, commercial, and industrial gas meters, recording readings for billing purposes.
- Observe and report all abnormal, dangerous, and/or damaged conditions pertaining to gas meters and adjacent areas.
- Disconnect, paint, and service meters, as well as assist with atmospheric corrosion surveys and remedial action.
- Change index and meter glass, complete electronic orders, and perform damage prevention locates.
- Install, maintain, replace, and remove meters and regulators.
- Activate residential and small commercial services.
- Replace service valves, perform minor appliance repairs, and make adjustments.
- Complete all operator qualification and safety-related training.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior utility, construction, or maintenance experience, such as HVAC or E/M system experience, is a plus.
- Valid driver's license in accordance with Company standards.
- Must obtain and maintain minimum Operator Qualifications (OQs) and classroom training for position and any other required OQs and classroom training or certifications prior to being placed in this position on a permanent basis.
