The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our primary care team in Austin, Texas. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for managing a patient panel, conducting a mix of acute, chronic, and well visits, and treating patients in-office or in testing centers. You will also be responsible for guiding and supporting providers' professional development, partnering with the Office Manager to support a collaborative and positive office community, and managing communication between your office and other districts, regional, and central teams.
This is a full-time role that requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for human-centered primary care. Responsibilities- Manage a patient panel with a broad array of patient needs
- Conduct a mix of acute, chronic, and well visits
- Treat patients in-office or in testing centers
- Guide and support providers' professional development
- Partner with Office Manager to support a collaborative and positive office community
- Manage communication between your office and other districts, regional, and central teams
- Supervise one or more NP or PA colleagues
- Enrolled in, or have completed, an accredited Internal or Family Medicine residency program
- Practiced at least 2 of the last 5 years in an outpatient primary care setting, or have completed a residency program in the last 5 years
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year managing a team of providers
- Board certified in Internal or Family Medicine, or Board Eligible with plans to obtain board certification within 1 year of your One Medical start date
- State licensed in Texas, obtained before your One Medical start date
