Role Overview:

The Customer Service Specialist plays a vital role in managing both inbound and outbound communications, addressing customer inquiries, and resolving complaints. This entry-level position operates under the guidance of a Coach and Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers and insurance agents to request or supply necessary insurance documentation, proof of insurance, and payment information while conducting follow-ups.
  • Handle calls in a professional manner within a dynamic call center environment.
  • Utilize available resources and systems to research required information.
  • Deliver comprehensive product and service information to customers.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of Loan Protector's offerings.
  • Process urgent payments, insurance documents, and claims efficiently.
  • Identify and prioritize high-priority issues, taking immediate action or escalating as necessary.
  • Conduct follow-up calls to customers when needed.
  • Document call logs and resolve outstanding call center tasks.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma is required; some college education is preferred.
  • Prior experience in customer service or a call center is advantageous.
  • Knowledge or experience in insurance is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to adapt and perform under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Strong customer service skills, including listening, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Occasional standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Effective verbal communication is essential.
  • Visual acuity, including color and depth perception, is required.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment:

This position is based in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
