Manhattan Youth is seeking a dedicated and experienced After-school Assistant Site Director to join our team. The successful candidate will support the Program Director in supervising and managing daily operations of our after-school programs, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage daily after-school activities, including sports, arts, STEM, and academic enrichment programs.
- Assist in developing and implementing after-school curricula and special events.
- Support the Program Director in hiring, training, and evaluating after-school staff.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children during activities, address emergency situations, and maintain incident logs.
- Manage after-school club enrollment, assignments, and changes for participants, and track club attendance.
- Coordinate program and staff schedules to meet the needs of comprehensive after-school programming and DOE requirements.
- Manage and track after-school equipment, consumables, supplies, and snack inventory.
- 4-year university degree in education or a related field preferred, plus 3 years of after-school, education, and/or childcare experience.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively manage and correct conduct and performance of adults and children.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all records.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, ATS, scheduling software, and employee scheduling and newsletter applications.
