CubeSmart is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Facility Service Manager. This individual will oversee the maintenance and construction projects across multiple locations, ensuring that facilities are properly maintained and meet corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage capital improvements and major maintenance projects for over 100 stores, covering multiple states.
  • Maintain and evaluate service contracts by reviewing property requirements, estimating future maintenance needs, and preparing bid specifications.
  • Work with District Managers and Senior District Managers to provide technical guidance on repair and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain capital budgets for assigned properties, operating within budget constraints.
  • Supervise outside contractors, ensuring work is performed in accordance with company standards and contract requirements.
  • Attend divisional meetings and present project updates and timelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and professional development.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree or comparable background, with a minimum of five years of building maintenance or construction experience.
  • Multi-unit experience is essential, with a developed understanding of corporate standards for facilities.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets, with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in computer software and project management tools.
