Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled professional to take on a senior role that will progress towards overseeing the Financial Services Division.

Role Summary:

This role will assist the Financial Services Division in delivering expert accounting and financial advisory services tailored for municipal utilities and electric cooperatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, reviewing, and enhancing Excel models and Access databases.
  • Conducting and managing comprehensive cost-of-service analyses.
  • Formulating utility pricing structures.
  • Supporting the development of financial planning and forecasting.
  • Executing cost/benefit evaluations.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations.
  • Providing expert testimony on behalf of clients.

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Financial Services and may involve overseeing the work of others as deemed necessary by management.


Key Requirements:
  • Exceptional organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in managing time effectively across various projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of utility pricing, cost allocation techniques, and regulatory accounting practices.
  • Awareness of the technological, market, and commercial trends influencing the current transformation in the utility sector.
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain long-term project and business advisory relationships, with active participation in industry associations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Over 10 years of experience in rate analysis and/or utility operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or mathematics; CPA or MBA is preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and other MS Office tools.
  • Experience in the utility sector is essential.
