Role Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

In alignment with the strategic vision of Corporate Human Resources, the Senior Human Resources Executive is responsible for synchronizing divisional HR initiatives with the overarching Corporate strategy. This role collaborates closely with divisional leaders to craft a comprehensive human resource strategy that effectively attracts, manages, develops, and retains the talent necessary to fulfill the organization's business goals.

The Senior HR Executive proactively identifies and prepares for future HR requirements and trends. This individual spearheads HR practices and objectives that foster a culture centered on employee engagement, high performance, and excellence, emphasizing quality, productivity, and the achievement of goals, alongside the recruitment and continuous development of a top-tier workforce. Additionally, this role provides insights and recommends actions regarding HR matters to Corporate HR for broader policy considerations.

The Senior Human Resources Executive ensures that HR operations comply with federal, state, and local employment regulations, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Title VII. This position typically reports to the Head of Corporate HR and is a key member of both the HR leadership team and the divisional leadership team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Drive HR programs and policies by partnering with business leaders while overseeing tactical execution through HR managers.

- Establish processes and metrics that align with the organization's business objectives.

- Advise and support business leaders in maintaining and enhancing a positive employee relations climate. Identify internal and external factors influencing employee retention and collaborate with managers to develop proactive strategies to meet turnover targets.

- Formulate action plans to address current and future staffing challenges.

- Oversee the division's affirmative action program; ensure annual EEO-1 filings and maintain records in compliance with EEO regulations.

- Identify training and development needs and collaborate with Corporate Training and Development to address these requirements. Analyze data to assess past and present training needs, and partner with Corporate Training to select suitable instructional methods.

- Mentor key division personnel through onboarding, open communication, training, and performance management processes; enhance employee morale and motivation; ensure the team possesses the necessary competencies.

- Assist divisional management in establishing and maintaining internal pay consistency and equity. Oversee the implementation of Corporate compensation programs, including incentive and merit pay structures within the division.

- Manage the Company's Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs and policies. Support managers with current Workers' Compensation issues and collaborate with HR/Workers Compensation Analysts to address ongoing policy matters.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

- Overseeing daily operations of a team.

- Contributing to budgetary considerations and impacts.

- Interpreting and executing policies for departments/projects; developing, recommending, and implementing new policies or modifications to existing ones.

- Providing general guidelines for staff operations.

- Managing hiring processes, recommending pay adjustments, conducting performance evaluations, training and developing staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning tasks, ensuring deadlines are met, and interpreting organizational policies consistently.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree required.

Relevant Experience

Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in various Human Resources roles.

At least 3 years of experience in a managerial capacity, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing personnel.

Additional Qualifications

Proficient in applying knowledge of HR policies and procedures, as well as federal and state laws.

Experience in reviewing and coordinating actions to ensure task completion.

Skilled in managing multiple projects, competing priorities, and critical deadlines.

Proficient in developing and delivering presentations to diverse audiences within an organization.

Willingness to travel up to 50% for business purposes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
