We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our Neurology team at VCA West Coast Specialty & Emergency Animal Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional patient care and advocacy, ensuring the well-being of our patients.
- Take thorough histories, obtain vitals, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Assist veterinarians in performing diagnostic procedures, surgical procedures, and treatments related to Neurology.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure proper documentation of procedures.
- Educate pet owners on neurologic conditions, treatment plans, and at-home care.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.
- Current and valid Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license or a minimum of 2 years of experience in performing technician duties.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and common conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards animals and their owners.
