Job Summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking a highly experienced Stormwater Project Manager to join our Water Infrastructure Practice in Southern California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary projects related to stormwater planning, engineering, and design. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering high-quality project planning and design documents, as well as supporting construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage project teams to develop planning, design, permitting, and construction documents for stormwater and flood mitigation projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical support to stormwater sales, water quality, recharge, climate change, and flood mitigation improvements.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate and lead project team members and task leaders for on-budget/on-schedule project execution.
  • Client Interface: Interface with engineering disciplines, sub-consultants, and other offices to develop and deliver design documents.
  • Mentorship: Willingness to serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced staff members.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a closely related area, required.
  • Experience: 15+ years of engineering experience, preferably in the consulting field, with management experience and technical competencies with stormwater (flood mitigation, resiliency, and water quality) projects.
  • Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of Los Angeles County, California, and Federal environmental regulatory framework and experience interacting with regulators.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
