JOB OVERVIEW

  • Full-time, permanent opportunity available
  • Work within an Urgent Care facility providing a broad range of family medicine services, addressing both acute and chronic health issues
  • Physicians will have the opportunity to establish their practice within the community, ensuring ongoing care for the families they serve.
  • The selected candidates will take on the role of Associate Medical Director, with additional leadership roles available within the organization.
  • Clinic operating hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM on weekdays, 8 AM to 8 PM on Saturdays, and 8 AM to 5 PM on Sundays. (12-hour shifts from Monday to Saturday and a 9-hour shift on Sunday)
  • Physicians will have the flexibility to create their own schedules, provided they meet a minimum requirement of 163 hours per month.
  • Each provider is expected to work 21 weekend hours monthly, which is included in the total monthly hours.
  • Candidates must be open to working some evenings and at least one weekend each month.
  • Experience in a procedure-oriented urgent care environment is essential. Common procedures include laceration repairs, incision and drainage, x-rays, drug screenings, sports and work physicals, orthopedic splinting, and routine family medicine care. Each clinic is equipped with a 2-bed triage area, 7-15 examination rooms, a laboratory, digital x-ray, and EKG facilities.
  • Collaborate with one physician, one or two mid-level practitioners (NP or PA), two lab technicians, and several front-office staff, all managed by a center manager who reports to an area manager.
  • Average patient load is approximately four patients per hour.
  • No clinic responsibilities on days off, nor hospital rounds required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Employed position with competitive compensation
  • Hourly wage of $ /hour, equating to $ k for a full-time physician working 2080 hours annually
  • Quarterly bonus potential of $7,500 based on quality metrics, totaling $30,000 annually.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including malpractice coverage ($2 million), health and dental insurance for the entire family, non-matching 401(K), and one week of CME with a $2,500 allowance. Reimbursement for TX License, DEA, and DPS fees.
  • Paid time off accrual:
  • Years 1-3 = 3 weeks; 4th year = 4 weeks; 5th year and beyond = 5 weeks.
