Penn State University Talent Acquisition is seeking highly motivated and talented students to join our team as Co-ops in the Navigation Research and Development Division (NRDD) at The Applied Research Laboratory (ARL).
Job SummaryWe are looking for students to support research, development, and engineering activities in the NRDD, a satellite campus of ARL focused on developing advanced navigation technologies. As a Co-op, you will work with a cooperative team of scientists and engineers responsible for hands-on work with electrical circuitry, embedded software, and FPGA firmware development.
Responsibilities- Support laboratory operations related to the development, testing, and evaluation of navigation systems.
- Design and build hardware to interface with state-of-the-art equipment and instrumentation.
- Program software to interface with this equipment, software for logging/processing test data, and real-time programming of mathematical algorithms.
- Analyze data and conduct live tests of sensors.
Undergraduate and Graduate students studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering are preferred. Students must be available to work at the Warminster facility for a six-month time period. Multiple vacancies are available.

Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
