Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute significantly to the design and development of medical diagnostic equipment.
  • Architect, design, and implement high-quality embedded software for PCR systems.
  • Develop firmware to manage diverse components, including Analog Devices, ADCs, PWM, stepper motors, and fluorometers.
  • Establish communication protocols for SPI, I2C, UART, and USB interfaces.
  • Generate comprehensive documentation, including software requirement specifications, design documents, flowcharts, and firmware logic explanations.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including hardware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing, to refine design specifications for next-generation PCR devices.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and C# for bare metal and embedded Linux environments.
  • Experience with ARM processors, GCC toolchain, Eclipse-based IDEs, and embedded programming.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Object-Oriented methodology, and full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Fluency in Git and familiarity with build systems such as GNU Make and CMake.
  • Experience with JTAG, static analysis tools, and software unit testing.
  • Comprehension of hardware/software interactions, hardware bring-up, and bootloader (U-boot) development.
  • Knowledge of Yocto Linux, Linux kernel internals, device trees, networking protocols, and file systems.
  • Understanding of device driver development and debugging.
  • Deep knowledge of control theory concepts, including PID control and frequency domain analysis.
  • Awareness of embedded systems security practices, including secure boot, authentication, and encryption.
  • Familiarity with MCU architectures, peripherals, and development environments.
  • Significant experience in medical device software development, with knowledge of IEC 62304 and ISO 13485 standards preferred.
