Job Summary

TPD, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Highway Engineer to join our Access Design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in outside contact and communication pertaining to specific projects, capital improvement planning, and working with multi-disciplinary teams on tasks such as intersection design, traffic signal design, and traffic operations analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in outside contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
  • Conduct capital improvement planning, including providing cost estimates, feasibility studies, and developing recommendations and innovative solutions.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams on tasks such as intersection design, traffic signal design, roadway signing and pavement marking plans, and traffic and signal operations analysis.
  • Obtain, analyze, and apply PennDOT's Highway Occupancy Permit Design Criteria/procedure HOP's.
  • Assist in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and designs for projects.
  • Review construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents.
  • Serve as on-site project representative.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (required).
  • EIT, FE, or PE (not required, but preferred).
  • Knowledge of CADD Software (MicroStation or AutoCAD or OpenRoad).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Driver's License.
