  • Enter demographic and clinical information into our electronic medical record system.
  • Coordinate referrals, surgeries, and pre-operative appointments.
  • Communicate lab and procedure results to patients and families.
  • Review and clarify patient consent forms.
  • Process prescriptions and provide patient education on medication management.
  • Perform glucometer testing, peak flow meter testing, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Authorize and pre-certify procedures.
  • Manage inventory and maintain a clean and organized supply closet.
  • Provide patient education on diabetes management, COPD, and asthma.
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Prepare documents for transmission to external entities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • BLS certification preferred.
  • EMR system experience preferred.
  • Vital signs experience preferred.
