IDD Provider Specialist Job Description

The IDD Provider Specialist position at Lakes Regional MHMR Center is responsible for implementing and evaluating therapeutic programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role involves planning individualized activities, providing direct care services, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Therapeutic Program Implementation: Develop and implement therapeutic programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including planning individual activities and evaluating program effectiveness.
  • Direct Care Services: Provide direct care services to individuals, including assistance and training with personal hygiene, food preparation, feeding, mobility, community access, recreation, leisure activities, and maintenance of basic health care needs.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Liaise with individual's Provider Care Coordinators, family members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Documentation and Safety: Complete daily documentation of services and comply with safety procedures, including monitoring facility and vehicle maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess and evaluate classroom effectiveness and implement changes as indicated.
  • Therapeutic Techniques: Be knowledgeable of therapeutic techniques and modalities of working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Independent Judgment: Exercise independent judgment and work with minimal supervision.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with individuals and co-workers.
Work Schedule and Salary:

Part-time (24 hours) Saturday-Sunday, 7am-7pm. Salary: $16/hourly.
