Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Service Manager to join our team at the Hilton Chicago/Oak Lawn IL. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the banquet area, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, quality service, and compliance with local and corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the banquet team, including interviewing, hiring, training, and developing staff members.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the banquet section, including ordering and maintaining supplies, reviewing set-up and food and beverage preparation and service, to ensure compliance with SOPs, Banquet Event Orders, safety regulations, and procedures.
  • Meet with customers to review Banquet Event Orders and address any changes, issues, or problems to ensure delivery of a quality product.
  • Calculate and review banquet checks for accuracy and present the check to the customer for signature.
  • Prepare and submit daily gratuities and payroll reports to the Controller's department.
  • Monitor and control the maintenance and sanitation of the banquet areas and equipment to protect assets and ensure quality service.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards.
  • Strong communication and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
