Position Summary: Under the guidance of the Residential Program Coordinator, the Case Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing residents within a structured treatment environment. The Case Manager facilitates daily therapeutic activities, provides continuous support and advocacy, and implements both individual and group skill-building interventions to ensure a safe and nurturing atmosphere.
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $59,982 - $83,975 annually
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee residents and program activities, ensuring a secure and therapeutic environment.
- Assist residents in developing essential life skills and achieving their personalized treatment objectives.
- Monitor compliance with resident-centered plans and program schedules.
- Document services provided in a timely manner.
Essential Duties:
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to residents as necessary.
- Transport residents to appointments and community events as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes and incident reports.
- Supervise and assist residents with daily tasks, ensuring they acquire necessary skills.
- Offer crisis intervention when needed.
- Plan and prepare meals, involving residents in the process.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space while encouraging resident participation in household chores.
- Ensure adherence to house rules and program policies.
- Assist residents in planning recreational activities.
- Monitor medication management and adherence.
- Participate in required meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Communicate daily with staff to share insights regarding resident needs and household operations.
- Support residents in following their sobriety plans.
- Administer and document breath analysis tests and other necessary assessments.
- Log visitor entries and exits.
- Address resident violations of rules and document incidents as needed.
- Assist in developing community service projects for residents.
- Conduct daily cleanliness checks of resident rooms.
- Perform filing and administrative tasks as required.
- Provide first aid and transportation for medical emergencies when necessary.
- Maintain a daily log of resident attendance.
- Ensure accountability and tracking of residents within the facility and community.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies Required:
- Completion of competency-based training relevant to direct service staff.
- Ability to monitor safety and model appropriate behavior.
- Provide education and support in personal hygiene and daily living activities.
- Engage residents with respect and empathy.
- Implement resident-centered plans for stabilization and recovery skill-building.
- Conduct effective resident interviews.
- Understand research-based treatment approaches related to the program.

- Familiarity with substance abuse treatment methodologies.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of experience in human services preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing substance use and mental health challenges.
- Must obtain relevant certifications within the first three years of employment.
Employment Policy: Employment with Gastineau Human Services Corporation is at-will, meaning it can be terminated by either party at any time, with or without cause or notice. This policy does not alter the at-will nature of employment unless specified in a written agreement signed by authorized personnel.
