Job Title: Residential Program Case Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Program Case Manager to join our team at Gastineau Human Services Corporation. As a key member of our residential program, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to residents as they work towards recovery and stability.

Job Summary:

The Residential Program Case Manager will be responsible for supervising residents in a therapeutic environment, providing daily activities, and implementing individual and group skill-building interventions. This is a permanent, full-time, non-exempt position with a competitive salary range of $59,982 - $83,975 per year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise residents and activities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment
  • Assist residents with daily life skills and achievement of individual treatment plan goals
  • Supervise adherence to resident-centered plans and program schedules
  • Document services provided
Competencies:

The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies:

  • Monitor for safety and model appropriate behavior
  • Provide education and direct support to residents in areas of personal hygiene, activities of daily living (ADL), and nutrition
  • Treat residents with respect and engage them in their care
  • Implement resident-centered plans for stabilization and skill building for recovery
  • Conduct resident interviews and understand program-related research-based treatment approaches
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years' experience providing direct service in the field of human services preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with people experiencing substance use disorders and/or mental health conditions
  • Must have or obtain one of the following certifications within the first three years of employment: Chemical Dependency Technician II (CDC-II) or higher, Behavioral Health Aid certification, or Full Peer Support Certification
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must pass the Department of Corrections and Department of Health background checks
  • Must pass drug test upon hire
  • Must have a current, valid State of Alaska driver's license or ID and be insurable by GHS' auto insurance
