Role Summary:

The Denture Laboratory Technician is essential in the creation of removable and hybrid dental prosthetic devices as directed by dental professionals, ensuring exceptional quality and patient satisfaction. This role provides an engaging opportunity to operate within a vibrant dental lab, working alongside skilled professionals to produce outstanding prosthetic solutions. The primary focus will be on crafting wax try-ins for complete, partial, and hybrid prosthetics. Our lab also supports a prosthetics training program, offering employees advanced, compensated training and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with dental professionals to comprehend patient requirements and treatment strategies.
  • Assess the precision and quality of dental models, implementing necessary modifications.
  • Mark models appropriately to facilitate the fabrication process.
  • Construct complete and partial dentures based on dental impressions and specifications from dental professionals.
  • Employ various dental materials and techniques to produce prosthetic devices that fulfill aesthetic, functional, and durability standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization within the denture laboratory, including equipment upkeep and adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Follow safety regulations and infection control measures to maintain a secure and sanitary work environment.

Safety Protocols: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to established safety practices. Report any unsafe conditions to management. Understand and comply with Lock-out/Tag-out procedures for all machinery and equipment. Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and keep the workspace orderly.

Collaboration: Actively participate in production meetings and provide constructive feedback to the team. Recognize organizational synergies and integrate efforts across the team. Utilize available resources effectively.

Professional Conduct: Demonstrate integrity and respect towards colleagues. Uphold company values and meet commitments and deadlines.

Communication Skills: Communicate effectively at all organizational levels. Exhibit strong oral and written communication abilities. Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Associate degree in dental laboratory technology or certification from an accredited dental laboratory technology program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a dental laboratory environment.
  • Knowledge of dental anatomy, morphology, and occlusion.
  • Experience with adjustable articulators and various occlusal schemes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using dental instruments for accurate tooth positioning and adjustments.
  • Excellent manual dexterity to achieve precise tooth alignment.
  • Familiarity with dental prosthetics, including dentures and partial dentures.
  • Commitment to professionalism and delivering high-quality dental restorations.
