Job Summary:

Pace is seeking a skilled Transportation Planner to join our team. As a key member of our Service Planning department, you will play a critical role in planning, implementing, and evaluating changes in routes and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze route and service performance data to recommend service improvements, reductions, or adjustments.
  • Develop and implement plans for route optimization and service expansion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address service gaps and opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of public materials related to route planning and service scheduling.
  • Participate in public meetings and conduct field work to review current service and plan new service.
  • Investigate and respond to inquiries about route planning and service scheduling.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in urban and regional planning, transportation planning, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in transit planning or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, ArcGIS/Map, and other relevant software applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
