Easement Specialist Job Description

As an Easement Specialist with National Experienced Workforce Solutions, you will play a critical role in supporting the Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) through a grant administered program. This unique opportunity allows you to utilize your expertise and experience in easement acquisition, water rights, and natural resources conservation to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with drafting documents and guidance materials to support easement program implementation, focusing on water rights, drought, and water conservation.
  • Review deed terms, exhibits, appraisals, and plans to ensure quality assurance and effective easement program implementation.
  • Coordinate with discipline experts within NRCS, USDA, and other land management agencies to incorporate water conservation issues into easement program delivery and stewardship concepts.
  • Perform other tasks assigned to support easement program implementation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in easement acquisition, water rights, or natural resources conservation, or a BA/BS degree in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, and other systems, including the National Easement Staging Tool and Conservation Desktop.

  • Training available on easement business tools and user guides.
  • Travel Requirements: Once or twice per quarter.
  • Overnight travel: once or twice per quarter.
  • Air travel anticipated: Quarterly.
  • Rental cars: Quarterly.
  • Remote work arrangements available for this position.
