Key Responsibilities- Perform nursing procedures and patient care tasks, ensuring compliance with state and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Present staff in-services on medications and nursing issues.
- Ensure confidentiality and maintain accurate records.
- Provide nursing care in post-acute care facilities, checking vital signs and reporting to the broader nursing team.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as toileting, grooming, and feeding.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, performing tasks such as changing linens and sanitizing surfaces.
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare staff.
- Administer enemas, douches, and other medical treatments as needed.
- Current State of CT CNA License.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer aptitude and ability to speak/write in English.
- Experience working with people with developmental and physical disabilities preferred.
- Paid training and certification.
- Medical, dental, and life insurance.

The Arc Eastern Connecticut is a licensed and contracted service provider of the Connecticut Department of Development Services. We provide residential, daytime, employment, and social support to individuals with IDD and their families.
