Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to deliver exceptional IT support to VIP clients within a dynamic trading environment. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless operations and high-level support for executives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering on-site, face-to-face technical support to VIP clients, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Managing service requests, fault calls, and planned changes while providing support for VOIP telephony and advanced AV systems.
- Demonstrating expertise in a variety of technologies, including Windows 7 & 10, MS Office 2010/2013/2016/365, and hardware repair.
- Responding to client inquiries regarding system operations and addressing malfunctions effectively.
- Offering guidance on preventative maintenance and configuration adjustments to enhance system performance.
- Exhibiting a strong track record of problem resolution and collaboration with external vendor support teams.
- Providing comprehensive support for both laptops and mobile devices (iOS/Android).
- Ensuring high-quality customer service and maintaining excellent client relationships.
- Assisting users with document recovery, email management, and data handling.
- Working independently within a team as a systems specialist to support end users.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in market data applications such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, and electronic trading platforms.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting APIs, SQL queries, and network configurations.
- Experience in providing VIP IT support in a business-as-usual environment.
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software installation processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
Qualifications:
- At least two relevant IT certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, or Microsoft Office Specialist.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar technical support role.
