Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanic - Intermediate/Senior to join our team at ONEOK. As a key member of our East Texas Mechanical Team, you will be responsible for performing advanced level activities related to mechanical work on equipment at compressor, pipeline, storage, gathering, fractionation and/or gas processing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical work on fixed and rotating equipment at various locations, including internal combustion, diesel, natural gas powered engines and electrical drivers.
  • Service, troubleshoot, maintain, install and repair structural, mechanical, electrical and/or well equipment.
  • Conduct and interpret performance analyses, including emissions testing.
  • Train and direct employees involved in mechanical work.
  • Order and/or secure parts and supplies.
  • Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles.
  • Maintain, prepare and/or interpret reports and/or records, including work logs and service orders, inspection reports, engine/equipment maintenance and repair records, pressure readings, material and supply orders, and engine and compressor oil analysis reports.
Requirements
  • Experience in use and function of hand and power tools and equipment applicable to position.
  • Experience and advanced knowledge servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment.
  • Experience relative to company and/or governmental operating/safety policies and procedures.
  • Advanced experience in troubleshooting equipment abnormalities and failure modes analysis.
  • Experience reading and interpreting work and repair orders, drawings, charts, diagrams, dials, gauges, warranties, quotations, procedures and equipment manuals.
  • Experience preparing, processing, verifying records, safety and environmental reports, diagrams and material and supply orders.
Working Conditions

Employee is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including well lighted, climate controlled areas, outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, dust, fumes, gases, moving mechanical parts, potential electric shock, prolonged exposure to vibration, high pitched noises/loud noises, unprotected heights, and frequent repetitive motion.

Travel and Driving

Travel to other locations is required, and the employee may be assigned a company vehicle requiring the applicable driver's license.
