Job Summary

ONEOK is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our team. As an Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine analyzer maintenance and calibrations, repairs, and preventative maintenance. You will also be responsible for understanding sample system designs and maintenance, as well as performing a specialized level of work including installation, troubleshooting, calibrating, maintaining, and repair of various electrical/electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, analyzers, measurement, control and automation systems, and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain plant analyzers, CEMS systems, and O2 analyzers.
  • Install, operate, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate/adjust, and maintain equipment including calorimeters, gravitometers/densitometers, chromatographs, telemetering systems, moisture analyzers, ESD systems, electronic odorization systems, flow computers, PH and conductivity probes, instrumentation, meter tubes and orifice plates, satellite equipment, analytical equipment, SCADA system and remote terminal units and equipment, DCS, and PLC systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and/or analytical testing on compressors/engines, drivers, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Maintain electrical power circuits, switch gear, and power distribution including high voltage.
  • Perform and/or observe measurement equipment witness tests.
  • Install and maintain security/intrusion systems.
  • Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles.
  • Maintain, calculate and prepare reports and records including maintenance and repair records, safety and environmental reports, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and diagrams, pressure readings, and material and supply orders.
Requirements
  • Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including manual/power tools, electronic testing devices, and control devices.
  • Experience and training related to gas processing fundamentals, computers and related software, governmental rules, regulations, and codes, company policies and procedures, reliability based programs, and reading and interpreting repair orders, mechanical drawings, procedures, charts, diagrams, dials, gauges, and equipment manuals.
  • Ability to apply addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and algebraic formulas, communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions, and perform tasks that require physical demands including heavy work, standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, tasting/smelling, near vision, far vision, depth perception, and vision.
Working Conditions
  • Employee is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
  • Well lighted, climate controlled areas, outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, dust, fumes, gases, moving mechanical parts, potential electric shock, prolonged exposure to vibration, high pitched noises/loud noises, unprotected heights, frequent repetitive motion, and CRT (Computer Monitor(s)).
Travel
  • Travel expected within an assigned area, and as required to other locations.
Driving
  • Based on assigned tasks, employee may be assigned a company vehicle requiring the applicable driver's license.
