Position Title: Supply Chain Specialist I

Job Summary:
Supply Chain Responsibilities:
  • Strategically plans, implements, and oversees the efficient flow and storage of goods, services, and pertinent information from the point of origin to consumption, ensuring internal customer satisfaction.
  • Handles procurement of telecommunications equipment, components, and related services to fulfill nationwide company requirements.
  • Oversees corporate logistics, warehousing, and barcoding operations.
  • Develops and enforces inventory control systems, policies, and procedures within a shared services framework.
  • Maintains primary oversight of corporate contract negotiations for purchasing and service agreements.
Fulfillment Responsibilities:
  • Receives materials from distribution centers, executes cross-docking operations, organizes inventory, and completes necessary documentation.
  • Unloads incoming materials and stocks shelves as required.
  • Utilizes barcode technology to tag all received materials and assess status changes.
  • May enter inventory transactions into the database.
  • Pulls inventory to fulfill requisitions as necessary.
  • Packs customer orders in accordance with specifications.
  • Conducts tagging, packing, and shipping activities per schedule.
  • Employs software designed to support various warehouse functions.
  • Assists in periodic inventory checks and may help resolve discrepancies.
  • May assist with claims for damaged freight.
  • May operate heavy equipment for picking, packing, and shipping operations.
  • May require basic knowledge of billing systems.
  • May provide transportation and loading/unloading of materials and equipment.
  • May inspect vehicles for safety and operational readiness.
  • May verify shipping documents for hazardous materials.
  • Ensures all necessary shipment documentation is available for inspection.
  • May require a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Performs other supply chain management duties as assigned.
Typical Training / Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in the relevant field.
  • Entry-level support role requiring basic skills.
  • Can perform fundamental tasks within the function.
  • Some impact at the departmental level.
Problem Complexity:
  • Engages in simple, routine tasks.
  • Selects appropriate processes from established rules or past practices.
  • Seeks guidance on non-routine issues from supervisors.
  • Any deviations from standard procedures are reviewed by management.
Autonomy:
  • Operates under close supervision with limited independent judgment.
  • Work typically involves detailed checks or close review by a senior colleague or supervisor.
Knowledge:
  • Assignments require minimal knowledge beyond the assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrates a correct understanding of routine work aspects.
