Key Responsibilities:
- Execute assembly tasks, ensuring proper alignment and final configuration of components.
- Utilize various hand tools, fixtures, and testing equipment to perform assembly work according to established methods.
- Gather and document test data using databases and office software to track the manufacturing process.
- Engage in troubleshooting production issues and contribute to process improvement decisions.
- Assist in the selection and setup of specialized machinery.
- Conduct a variety of troubleshooting activities to identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Perform equipment setup, calibration, and routine maintenance.
- Adhere to safety protocols and participate in audits.
- Contribute to ongoing process enhancement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year in manufacturing or mechanical assembly is required.
- Experience in precision mechanical assembly and low-volume, complex manufacturing processes is essential.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, 6S, and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
- Prior assembly experience in a controlled environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in Windows-based and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) is required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team of 8-10 members.
- Strong analytical skills to independently address challenges while collaborating with others.
- Capability to support projects, conduct training, and work efficiently within cohesive teams.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Willingness to work in designated personal protective equipment (PPE).
