Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions efficiently, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Treat each customer with respect and kindness, ensuring every interaction delivers on the SP Plus Promise.
  • Count and manage cash and/or validations, maintaining security and accuracy.
  • Process transactions, make change, and issue receipts or tickets to customers.
  • Operate a cash register, calculate costs, and display transaction totals.
  • Provide directions to city locations and assist customers with their needs.
  • Resolve customer complaints quickly and efficiently, escalating issues to supervisors when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the booth and surrounding area.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure proper inventory of work aids and supplies.
  • Verify log of shift transactions against bank of revenue on hand.
  • Compile bank of collected revenue during the day and prepare shift reports.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Less than one month of related experience or training preferred.
  • Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license required (if applicable).
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
