The Quality and Food Safety Manager is responsible for providing quality and food safety support and leadership within the ADM Milling Division, and more specifically, throughout his/her facility. This position reports to the Regional Quality and Food Safety Manager for the region in which the facility resides.
Key Responsibilities- Support various systems used throughout the facility, including ADM Weigh, APecS, Sphera, PolicyTech, and TLC.
- Lead audits and perform annual tasks as needed for compliance.
- Interact with plant management and ADM resources to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement Quality and Food Safety requirements for Human Food and Animal Food, when applicable.
- Monitor the quality and safety of incoming ingredients and manufactured products.
- Manage prerequisite programs that support the Quality Management System.
- Actively participate in employee development and create, support, and facilitate quality and food safety training.
- Assist with internal auditing and oversee non-conformity investigations.
- Develop processes to oversee and implement Cost of Poor Quality and assist with the IA (Intentional Adulteration) FSMA implementation.
- Preferred 4-year degree or equivalent 7 years Food Safety experience.
- Preventative Control Qualified Individual (PCQI) trained.
- Working knowledge of Document Management (PolicyTech), spreadsheets, and databases.
- Knowledge of applicable food regulations and requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Ability to make decisions based on information and data available.
- Ability to work as a team member and provide training.
Employees in this position will be exposed to hot and cold temperatures, dusty environments, and may be exposed to various potential chemical and food allergens due to the nature of our business and requirements of the job.
