About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at TrustPoint Hospital. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and contributing to a positive and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the well-being and safety of patients, providing a structured and supportive environment.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and supervise patients as needed, adhering to individualized guidelines.
  • Document accurate and timely clinical information in patient records.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.
  • Support patients with activities of daily living, including personal care and hygiene.
  • Facilitate patient educational-rehabilitative groups, promoting social skills, coping skills, and independent living skills.
  • Engage patients in activities and interactions designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals.
  • Complete and maintain required documentation, assisting with follow-up and paperwork as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
  • CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
