About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic II to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles.

Main Responsibilities
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks on trucks and trailers, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Using advanced diagnostic tools and technologies to identify and resolve problems.
  • Working independently and as part of a team to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with colleagues and customers.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
  • ASE certification and 608/609 certifications a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
