Job Summary

This is a National Guard position that involves designing and engineering IT networks for various transmission systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and implementing network systems, as well as ensuring their security and integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer IT networks for various transmission systems
  • Plan and implement network systems to support operations
  • Ensure network security and integrity
  • Develop and implement plans for employment of communications systems
  • Coordinate and conduct operational tests and evaluations of designed networks
  • Review and analyze data to make technical judgments and prepare decisions and recommendations
  • Provide technical guidance and direction for different aspects of radio frequency spectrum analysis
  • Coordinate frequency assignments with DOD, MAJCOM, ANG, base, and unit spectrum managers
  • Conduct transmission path analysis and coordinate with external agencies for satellite and gateway access
  • Develop and administer operations plans and applicable annexes
Requirements
  • Must have at least 12 months of specialized experience at the GS-09 level or the equivalent
  • Experience must include planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment, coordinating with others outside the organizational unit, and developing project controls
  • Must have a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles
