Job Title: Diesel Truck Mechanic

Superior Plus Propane is seeking an experienced Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our team at our Roebuck, SC garage. As a key member of our Fleet Maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day preventative maintenance and vehicle repairs as directed/scheduled.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance with minimal or no supervision.
  • Perform routine truck repairs, including brake work, hydraulics, driveline, steering, suspension, electrical, and transmission, with minimal or no supervision.
  • Perform some welding and cutting as directed.
  • Utilize various diagnostic equipment and software to identify error codes and required repairs.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years related diesel truck maintenance experience (waste management, Mack dealership, etc.).
  • General set of adequate hand tools to perform preventative maintenance.
Skills:
  • General knowledge and understanding of diesel truck repair and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and productively with some supervision and support.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand, power, or specialty tools.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Strong desire for advancement.
  • Manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs unassisted while working in difficult positions.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work within a team concept.
  • Intermediate computer skills to start utilizing diagnostic equipment and access to fleet maintenance software.
