Job Summary

The Arc Oneida-Lewis Chapter is seeking a highly skilled Janitorial Supervisor to oversee the daily cleaning tasks and operations of our facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Cleaning Operations: Oversee the completion of daily cleaning tasks, assist other team members, and provide guidance and expertise to ensure seamless operations.
  • Inventory Management and Equipment Maintenance: Oversee supplies inventory and equipment maintenance, making recommendations to the Offsite Janitorial Coordinator as needed.
  • Front-Line Supervision: Provide coaching, mentoring, disciplinary actions, and performance appraisals to team members.
  • Customer Service and Relations: Ensure excellent customer service to all worksite employees and provide on-the-job training as needed.
  • Operational Documentation: Maintain timely and accurate operation documents daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure best practices and safety procedures are performed as required, and maintain proper security when entering/leaving the building.
Requirements
  • Security Clearance: Ability to pass all security clearance screenings to access property and building.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and function as a team member, communicate effectively, and work flexible schedules.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 lbs, move materials, and operate machines used by the Janitorial Department.
  • Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills, typically a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in the Janitorial industry.
