Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified System Security Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise for DoD information systems security policy and implement security controls in accordance with RMF Assessment and Authorization requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, install, configure, and administer technology such as HBSS, ACAS, SEIM, firewall, patch management, and configuration management solutions to support security policy.
  • Implement and audit security controls in accordance with RMF Assessment and Authorization requirements.
  • Conduct periodic DoD Security Technical Information Guide (STIG) compliance audits.
  • Monitor network vulnerability/risk and implement remedies/mitigations.
  • Review proposed designs to ensure appropriate security is included.
  • Use available tools and scripts to reduce the effort to enforce security policy and audit compliance.
Requirements
  • Associate degree, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Two years of relevant experience, preferably in engineering and securing DoD systems.
  • Relevant experience: RMF process, system analysis, system audits, CISCO iOS, MS Window/Server, LINUX, network, DISA STIGS, SolarWinds, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution/Nessus, and system monitoring tools.
  • Must maintain the capability to communicate with their Supervisor and/or Manager when not in the office.
Certifications
  • Require one of the following DoD M IAT Level II Certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP.
Qualifications
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance highly desired, however candidates who are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance will be considered.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations on base.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to frequently traverse stairs.
  • Sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Reaching, handling, using equipment, keyboards, and mobile devices.
  • Lifting boxes (files and supplies) up to 20 lbs.
