Job Title: Hybrid Charge Entry Specialist

Our team is dedicated to supporting patients' medical and personal recoveries from substance use disorder.

Responsibilities:
  • Audit and daily balancing of encounters/billable services as outlined in department processes for various centers.
  • Ensure accurate insurance demographic entry of patient information for timely reimbursement.
  • Notify and accumulate trends from Physicians and/or office personnel regarding incomplete or inaccurate data submitted.
  • Stay current with CPT codes, modifiers, ICD-10 coding, and regulatory compliance issues related to billing of Physicians services.
  • Notify the RCM Manager of any errors or compliance issues noted on submitted claims or pre-billed claims.
  • Timely and accurately post all submitted encounters.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred 2 years of medical billing and charge entry experience in a hospital or physician office setting.
  • Certified coder preferred.
  • General knowledge of HCPCS and CPT coding.
  • Working knowledge of practice management software.
  • Working knowledge of allowable/contractual amounts, payment terminology, adjustments, and identifying patient responsibility.
