Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Administrator to oversee the day-to-day operations of our hospice locations. Key responsibilities include coordinating admission processes, managing ancillary services, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

About the Role: As a key member of our leadership team, you will report directly to the Assistant Vice President of Operations and be responsible for the overall success of your assigned location. Your expertise will drive operational efficiency, quality improvement initiatives, and staff development programs. Additionally, you will work closely with physicians, patients, families, and other stakeholders to address problems, needs, and concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence through focusing on quality care and/or service.
  • Incorporate continuous quality improvement principles in day-to-day activities.
  • Promote and monitor compliance with requirements and standards established by accrediting or licensing agencies, regulatory agencies, and state or federal law relevant to areas of responsibility.
  • Recommend and implement policies and procedures.
  • Manage Human Resources effectively.
  • Promote positive communications and keep employees informed of changes by ensuring meetings with appropriate staff are conducted and documented.
  • Promote/provide for core orientation, at the direction of the Administrator, plus location and job specific orientation, in-service training, and continuing education for employees, volunteers, and contract personnel.
  • Responsible for the selection, supervision, and evaluation of interdisciplinary team members.
  • Manage teams to goals and standards for performance; review and monitor progress regularly and redirect efforts where goals are not being met.
  • Makes appropriate assignments among employees in accordance with their personal abilities and limitations; ensures fair and consistent workload distribution.

Requirements:

  • Education: Registered Nurse with minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred. Master's degree in business, nursing, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum one year management/supervisory experience required. Two or more years' experience in hospice/home care required. Three years' experience in direct patient care in a clinical setting preferred. Three to five years healthcare sales/management experience preferred. Two or more years' experience in home care or hospice required (if also functioning as the Clinical Nursing Supervisor for the office location). Experience could also be as Clinical Director, Hospice Director, Director of Nursing (DON), RN Administrator, Executive Director.
  • Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration: Current license to practice nursing in the state of requested employment, if applicable. CPR Certification. Current automobile insurance and valid driver's license.

Salary: We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000-$120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, plus comprehensive benefits, mileage reimbursement, professional growth opportunities, and participation in a fleet program.
