Southeast Utilities of Georgia is seeking a skilled Coax Splicer to enhance our construction team. Our organization specializes in the design and implementation of broadband and wireless communication frameworks, which are essential for various sectors including healthcare, energy, and transportation.
Your Role:
As a Coax Splicer, you will be responsible for:
- Interpreting work orders, specifications, and engineering diagrams to establish the sequence of tasks.
- Executing repairs or splicing new lines to facilitate project testing and certification.
- Installing coaxial cables and associated devices as required by project specifications.
- Conducting tests on Coax-RF lines to ensure balanced signals and continuity.
- Transporting tools and materials to work sites using company vehicles.
- Reading and understanding site plans and diagrams to support project execution.
- Splicing and activating both underground and aerial lines.
- Utilizing RF Meters and TDRs for accurate measurements.
- Safely operating bucket trucks or climbing utility poles as necessary.
- Finalizing projects by completing production documentation and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
- A proactive attitude and willingness to embrace new methods.

- Valid driver's license.
- Expertise in coaxial cable splicing with minimal signal loss.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment for signal strength and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of coaxial cable types and their applications.
