About the Role

Stantec is seeking an experienced Licensed Senior Surveyor to join our Community Development group in Las Cruces, NM. As a key member of our Geospatial team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing survey projects, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis, and providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development and Client Management: Foster strong relationships with clients, identify new business opportunities, and develop strategies to grow our surveying and mapping services.
  • Project Management: Oversee the scope, schedule, and budgets for multiple surveying and mapping projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Team Leadership: Direct, develop, evaluate, and mentor survey staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and growth within the company.
  • Survey Operations: Coordinate survey efforts with clients and other professionals within Stantec, ensuring seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Perform quality control and quality assurance on survey projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Minimum of 10 years of land surveying experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Licensure and Certifications: Must be a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor, with knowledge of local survey laws, surveying principles, techniques, and procedures.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to solve complex problems, and a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
