Forensic Clinician

We are seeking a highly motivated Forensic Clinician to join our team at Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center. The successful candidate will provide intensive mental health support in a structured residential environment to prepare clients for independent community living.
Key Responsibilities- Provide forensically focused individual and group therapy
- Conduct home visits and crisis intervention
- Manage case files and submit reports to the courts
- Document services provided and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary treatment teams
- Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences or related field
- License eligible (LMFT, LCSW, ASW, AMFT, Psy.D., or Ph.D.)
- Knowledge of medications and current diagnostic manual
- Experience in provision of individual or group treatment and training with multi-racial populations
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on providing high-quality care to clients. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health theories and practices, as well as experience working with clients who present a variety of psychopathologies. The ability to accurately observe and document client behaviors and treatment sessions is essential.
The position also requires the ability to handle encounters with clients who may be unstable, angry, hostile, agitated, or intoxicated, in an appropriate, effective, and sage manner.
