About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Research Assistant Professor to join our team at the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (CAIDS) at Kansas State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for pursuing, assisting with, and advising on research activities in artificial intelligence and data science.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pursue, assist with, and advise on research at CAIDS related to artificial intelligence and data science (40% of time)
  • Identify and pursue external funding opportunities in collaboration with CAIDS faculty (20% of time)
  • Promote CAIDS research on artificial intelligence and data science through internal and external engagements (10% of time)
  • Coach and co-supervise graduate students doing research on artificial intelligence and data science (30% of time)
Requirements
  • Completed coursework towards a PhD (All But Dissertation - ABD) in a related area
  • PhD in a related area and substantial research background in artificial intelligence and data science (preferred)
