Position Summary

GOAT Group is on the lookout for a Director of Total Rewards. This pivotal role will oversee all aspects of compensation, including the formulation, execution, and management of our global compensation and equity strategies. Additionally, you will enhance our benefits offerings and programs both domestically and internationally. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities, robust technical skills, sound judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for developing scalable and innovative total rewards frameworks.

You will report directly to the Head of People and will manage the Compensation and Benefits teams, recruiting additional team members as necessary. You will also serve as a key collaborator with our Executive Leadership and People Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight on global compensation and benefits initiatives that are competitive and tailored to diverse Corporate, Retail, and Warehouse populations across various regions.
  • Manage the implementation of compensation and benefits-related systems and process enhancements.
  • Lead the annual compensation and equity review cycle.
  • Design equity programs, including structuring, grant analysis, and educating employees and candidates.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, HR Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition to ensure that compensation and benefits programs align with business needs.
  • Develop communication and change management strategies regarding compensation and benefits to enhance employee understanding and highlight the value provided.
  • Oversee leave of absence administration, including Family and Medical Leave, Workers Compensation Leave, Sick Leave, and Short and Long Term Disability, ensuring compliance with local laws.
  • Advise on state and federal employment regulations, benefits and compensation policies, and personnel procedures; prepare and disseminate information to employees regarding benefit programs and changes.
  • Lead the development and review of policies related to benefits and compensation both domestically and internationally.
  • Conduct regular assessments of Total Rewards and Benefits offerings through benchmarking and analysis, guiding the team in implementing necessary changes.
  • Ensure best practices and compliance in the administration of all benefits.
  • Mentor and develop a team of compensation and benefits professionals.
  • Provide leadership to the broader People team, ensuring that the Total Rewards strategy is well-aligned with the overall People and business strategy.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in global compensation, benefits, and total rewards, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • 5+ years of experience in global compensation administration, including fixed and variable cash and equity compensation.
  • Fundamental experience in managing employee benefits, including global benefits policies and enhancing offerings in international locations.
  • Experience with Retail and/or Warehouse populations is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with experience in evaluating and managing online salary management tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and well-developed organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional relationships with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Finance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating high initiative, flexibility, and a team-oriented approach.

The compensation range for this position is competitive, complemented by benefits such as 401K, paid time off, dental, medical, vision, disability, and life insurance options. The starting pay will be determined based on various factors, including work location, role level, candidate skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity.
