Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Newborn Medicine

Maimonides Medical Center is seeking an experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic Pediatric Team in Newborn Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage the care of newborns, including stabilization and coordination of care.
  • Perform complete physical examinations, analyze diagnostic data, and initiate interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to establish and implement plans of care.
  • Provide clinical care to newborns, maintaining close communication with parents and pediatricians.
  • Attend all deliveries requiring a Pediatric presence.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with current NYS licensure/registration.
  • FNP certification.
  • ANCC, PNP certification.
  • Experience with the care of newborns, ages 0-1 month (Well Baby Nursery).
  • NRP certification and ability to attend deliveries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
