Job Title: Pediatric Nursery Medical Director Position at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital

Job Summary:
Rochester Regional Health is seeking a dynamic physician to serve as Pediatric Nursery Medical Director at Marshall Birthing Center at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital in Newark, NY. As the Pediatric Nursery Medical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the level 1 nursery at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. This includes in-hospital call for attending deliveries, providing pediatric leadership for newborn unit, and supervising pediatric nurse practitioners.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the level 1 nursery at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital
  • Provide pediatric leadership for the newborn unit
  • Supervise pediatric nurse practitioners
  • Attend deliveries and manage newborn nursery operations

Requirements:
  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Eligible/Board certified in Pediatrics
  • Active medical license in the state of New York
  • Experience in attending deliveries and managing newborn nursery operations
  • Previous experience supervising pediatric nurse practitioners preferred, not required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement
